Best / Cheapest Place To Stay On Koh Phangan

Featured Replies

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about places to stay on Koh phangan for a double around 300 to 500 baht a night nice basic place fan is fine just for 4 days or so many thanks

Koh Phangan has quite a few beaches and many bungalows in this price range.

It all depends if you want quiet and isolated, quiet and semi-isolated, busy and party central or a mix of both.

looking for somewhere near the nice beaches in quiet area but not too far from the town like 5 to 10 min walk so really mixture of everything

What time of year were you planning on coming? If now, then I would recommend staying near Hadrin--Sunset side, or Thong Nai Pan--probably Yao is busier than Noi, or Had Yao. Google Koh Phangan and you will get a few websites that have maps, show bungalows and list prices.

Better yet, pick an area, and get a room you like when you get here (possible as long as you aren't coming right at the Full Moon Party time, Sept 7 this month I believe). However, make sure you stick with the area you want to go to as several bungalow operations are notorious for telling people that their place is near to hadrin (when its clear round the other side of the island) and most people fall for it because the room is cheap and the taxi free. Only to get there and find out that they are miles from anywhere.
