Foreign Affairs Minister clarifies world doubts at UN human rights meeting

BANGKOK, 4 Feb 2015 (NNT) – Deputy PM and Foreign Affairs Minister Supreme Commander General Thanasak Pratimakorn has clarified the world’s doubts about human rights situation in Thailand, during the 2015 session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

During his speech to foreign leaders, Supreme Commander General Thanasak stressed that the Thai government did regard human rights of all groups of people, including children, women, the elderly, the physically-challenged or alien workers, as the top priority.

To ease global concerns over the treatment of illegal workers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke of the successful campaign which led to the registration of 1.6 million alien workers who will from now on enjoy access to proper welfare under the humanitarian practice. His statement was said to have won appreciation from participating countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, in addition, took the opportunity to discuss future cooperation with top-ranking officials of the United Nations such as the Director General of the International Organization for Migration, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights as well as foreign leaders and ministers.

General Thanasak also said he is ready to cooperate with all related agencies.

"clarified the doubts" just means that he made their doubts more clear. So the writer is unintentionally saying the opposite of what he appears to want to say (well what he wants to say it's obvious). Hilariously poor writing or translation, not that I'm surprised.

Registering some Burmese workers to get their details has bug all to do with sorting out Human Rights. The Junta knows it, the politicians know it, the scum who are trafficking know it, the police know it, the navy know it and the big business people who run it without a thought for their fellow humans they torture and abuse know it. The vile deceit that spews out of people in power here is disgusting. Thailand has done nothing at all to bolster Human Rights for anyone - indeed the opposite.

Has anyone watch his speech on TV every week, The jargon and jabberish use of words it is either through poor translation or his vague use

of words mean nothing. Such as; "We have met to day with concerns of the people to ratify concerns most need in Thailand." or "It is our hope

the Thai people understand implications of the people will be addressed accordingly for the betterment of Thailand". What the ^%$# is he saying?

Now that doubts have clearly been clarified, now the doubts will have their attitudes readjusted from previous adjustments, so that statements made concerning human trafficking statements can now be restated clearly, and undoubtedly will be appreciated because of the appreciation of related countries, or even unrelated countries, call be relatively appreciative nonetheless.
