Bali nine: Execution of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran may be months away

MELBOURNE: -- The execution of Bali nine ringleaders Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan could be delayed for weeks with the Attorney-General's office confirming all the drug felons would be killed at the same time.

"There is no delay due to intervention from Australia or other counties offering prisoner swaps."
Indonesia's Attorney-General H.M. Prasetyo

Speculation has been rife that prisoners with ongoing legal proceedings could be removed from the list of those facing imminent death by firing squad.

However, the Attorney-General's spokesman, Tony Spontana, told Fairfax Media: "There is no change of plan. It will be done simultaneously."

This means the executions could still be weeks or even months away.

The Attorney-General, H.M. Prasetyo, is waiting on the outcome of a judicial review for Filipino domestic helper Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso, whose parents say she had no idea there were two kilograms of heroin in a suitcase she brought from Malaysia to Indonesia.

Nup...I don't buy it that they need to shoot them all at the same time, nor that Australian government intervention has nothing to do with it.

I smell a diplomatic deal going on.

The longer this drags on the % rises for a stay of execution.

Although their crime reaches into the despair of many poor souls, families and their friends, causing feelings that for some are just so horrific; I still believe sparing their life and letting them live for the rest of their lives confined behind bars is what should be done.

I have trouble picking what to wear some days and there is a need to play God in a situation like this. Then you need to have what 10 brave souls to fire a weapon?

Yes, drag it out for as long as possible.rolleyes.gif.pagespeed.ce.hZ59UWKk-siBMq Talk about cruel, inhumane, and unusual punishment.

I say enough is enough. They have milked this story for far too long. Get it over with...just do it. IMO.

Let the families get on with their lives.
