Govt warning to phone operators: make sure your customers are registered or face losing your telecoms license.

The secretary general of the National Broadcasting and Telecoms Commission (NBTC) has strongly urged Thailand’s leading telecoms operators to do more in order to ensure customers comply with the requirement to register their prepaid SIM cards.

Suvarnabhumi voted 47th among world’s best 50 airports

BANGKOK: -- Singapore Changi Airport again was voted the world's best airport for the third year running in the annual SkyTrax World Airport Awards 2015 announced Wednesday in Paris. Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi was also among the list of 50 best airports.

China agrees to buy Thai rice & rubber

BANGKOK, 14 March 2015 (NNT) - China has agreed to by rice and rubber from Thailand, Commerce Minister Chatchai Sarikalya said.

According to Gen Chatchai, China has agreed to buy two million tons of rice and 300,000 tons of ribbed smoked sheet rubber (RSS3) and block rubber (STR 20) through the government-to-government system.

Regarding the rice export, the pricing of goods will be based on the world market mechanism. Beijing will also be responsible for the transport of the rice purchased. A quality control team will be set up to ensure that the shipments meet the required standards.

The rubber trade will be assigned to the Rubber Estate Organization. Goods destined for Beijing must be those produced from November 2014 onwards and will be shipped monthly.

The Ministry of Commerce will try to talk Beijing into buying another one million tons of rice in the next round of talks to be held in China in May.

Thai-Japanese Prime Ministers discuss cooperation in rail and agriculture
