a lot of the time I have a very slow or no connection on 3bb broardband, but it also works perfectly well sometimes. but whats odd is that when windows has no connection my android phone still connects perfectly on the same wifi connection. any ideas on why this happens and if theres a solution?

What does "windows" mean?

Is it a desktop or laptop computer?

Under the desk, in the house?

Sounds like simply the "windows" computer has a worse signal reception compared to your android phone.

If reception is too bad for your Windows PC then you have to use an external WiFi adapter with an antenna.

its a laptop thats running windows, I dont think signal strength is the problem, hooks up fine to the router

If the laptop is receiving good-great signal from your 3BB Router and doesn't work well, when another device using the same service does, then I would take a serious look at the laptop. If one connected device works then they all should work.

Laptop Issues that can affect usage:

Free space on Windows Drive

Browser cache, history long (clear cache and history)

Virus, Trojan, Unwanted Adware or Redirectors running in background

DNS Servers not 3BB Default or Google Public

Drive errors causing multiple/massive retries to retrieve/write data properly.

... etc, etc.

If you go to a 3BB support page and run their SpeedTest, what are the results (and compared to results on the other connected devices)?

Im pretty sure this is happening on the other side of the router, I dont know much about it. ports maybe, but one of the sites I cant open when its slow is facebook. odd coincidence that a whole bunch of facebook sites have just been...anyway

It should be working on Windoze, Mac or any other device... either by wifi or LAN connection... (although not sure why it would show on Android device, without doing that)

Perhaps call 3 BB and have them check your line.... they are usually good with customer service.thumbsup.gif
