How Do I Hire A Thai Employee?

Featured Replies

Same as sourcing just about anything else: word of mouth.

Tell everyone you meet you're looking to hire someone.

There may be alternatives depending on the type of person you want to hire (i.e. the job), but since you don't mention that, I couldn't give you more thoughts. It kind of makes a difference if you're hiring a maid or a database programmer.

I'm looking for a salesman. Thanks for your advice. I kinda assumed I couldn't just post an ad in English and hope a lot of Thais would see it, and that's as far as I got. I'm new in town.

if you can find someone to post in Thai, jobchiangmai.com is very effective.

All I've ever done was tell a few people and post a few signs near Universities. I get a lot of replies.

Internet cafes are also a good place.

Howdy,

Thanks for the advice, everybody! Now I have a starting point. I might also hit up some expats for info at roughly noon on Saturday, and hope they can decipher my mangled English.
