Perhaps this shot is more "rural" ....? ..... Rice fields of northern Songkhla! Hard to believe that was 5 years ago now! I cut out the date!

SJ, sorry to break it to you but you can't grow bamboo by sticking bamboo sticks in the ground.

Hope you and Assurancetourix (have to be careful not to abbreviate that name!) have a great time on Samui and take many memorable photos!

May be in Samui and the other islands you use the sun umbrellas to shade on the beach.

We, in Issan,use the sun umbrellas to shade our agricultural machinery from getting burned from the sun.

Don't know if we put, sun protection cream on them......have to ask about that

ok that's interesting, Shaggy, I did come across what I was certain was a picture of yours, from way back and deleted it! (fishing nets) I was pretty certain I took that image off a back road in Nathon, Samui... obviously my memory fading more and more!

Issan, is not only cows

It's got some modern building structures in the rice fields.

From this morning's expedition around Khon Kaen.

The rice is growing, the sugar canes are nearly ready and Khon kaen is not just a flat landscape....we've got some hills to show off
