Phuket:- Police have arrested two Thai men for allegedly snatching a handbag of a Chinese tourist on Thursday.

Officers from the Krathu police station arrested Weerasak Yimseng, 21 and Ekkapong Dejasen, 25, after they were spotted riding a motorcycle in Phuket’s Krathu district.

Police suspect that the two have committed other bag snatching cases in the area.

Their arrest was announced Friday by Krathu police chief Col Chaiwat Ouikham.

Chaiwat said police retrieved an iPhone 6 Plus smartphone, a brown Louis Vuitton handbag, a Prada wallet, five credit cards and an identification card of the tourist from the two.

The Chinese tourist told police that she was shopping at the shopping area of the Patong beach when the two snatched her bag and fled the scene on their motorcycle.

At the same press conference, Chaiwat also announced the arrest of two teenagers who are 15 and 16 years old.

The two were arrested after they allegedly robbed four exchange shops and kiosks in Patong area.

In their alleged latest robbery, they robbed the Renew Warrant Exchange shop at 2:20 am on Wednesday and made off with tens of thousands of baht in cash.

Later in the day, police arrested the 15-year-old boy and later arrested the16-year-old accomplice.

On February 19, the two allegedly smashed a window of an exchange kiosk on the opposite side of the Loma Park in Patong and made off with a computer screen and a lot of coins of foreign currencies.

The two were also accused of robbing two other exchange kiosks and stealing several motorcycles in Patong.

if this happened in an Arab country they would loose their hand ...make it happen here ...would only take one to have it done and the rest of the little crims would get the idea

The fathers should be arrested for failure to provide proper education to their children.

Of course, endless DNA checks would be required to identify the genitors.......

Truely catch of the day
