Does anyone here have any experience ,good or bad with Evaporation coolers,

such as the MasterKool Evap (mobile), I don't like A/Cs,and at the moment only

use fans,but some nights,feel like I would like it a little bit cooler.

Evaporation coolers work great in a dry climate. In high humidity climates, like usually in Thailand not so much, you'll be as hot as before and sweating more...

I have the MasterKool Evap (mobile). Works best with ice in the water resevoir and does cool in a limited closed area.

Don't care what people say (there was a previous thread on this topic) I like them.

I do not like A/C.

I find fans just waft the warm air about, both ceiling fans and free standing ones.

I stand it infront of the open window blowing across the bed. The evaporation cools the night air by a couple of degrees and makes it nice to sleep all through the night.

Less effective in a room, I'm still debating whether to use with a window shut or open!
