Latest Google Chrome & Gmail updates difficult to use

Featured Replies

I seem to have some Google Chrome updates on both my computers over the last week or two that are making my life difficult.

(1) In Chrome the new small "Added to bookmarks" pane is much clumsier & less transparent to use than the one it replaces. I cannot save things where I want them. It is driving me nuts.

(2) In Gmail, in the new "Google Contacts preview " pane, I can now add a new contact name but it defies all my attempts to add details like an email address or other stuff like a phone number. I follow the prompts in the edit pane, fill in the data, I then click on the blue "Save" button and the new data is NOT saved.

Is this a genuine Google version in which case how are others handling this problem? Or can I revert to the old version somehow?

Or, have I been infected with a malware thing? if so, what is the fix for it?

If you want to go back to the original list view version of bookmarks you can. The new version is pretty but awkward if you have lots of bookmarks.

How to revert to old bookmark manager

Thanks a lot. Exactly what I needed for that part of my query. Done in minutes! A great help!
