Chile international footballer Arturo Vidal has been involved in a car crash while driving under the influence of alcohol, police have confirmed.

The accident happened on the outskirts of the Chilean city of Santiago late on Tuesday night, and it's reported that Vidal's Ferrari 458 crashed into another vehicle on the motorway before veering off-road.

Vidal and his wife Maria Teresa Matus, who was alongside him in the car as the couple made their way back home from a casino according to local reports, were taken to hospital and the footballer was later seen leaving with police for questioning after reportedly suffering minor injuries.

And it looks like we might be loaning Jenkinson out to the Mackems for a year.

The good news is:

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has decided he will not sell striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer, unless he is offered crazy money for the Argentine.

The Serie A side are said to have already knocked back an offer from Arsenal for Higuain, while both Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the Argentine.Jose Mourinho's Chelsea appear set to drop out of the race though on account of their impending signing of Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco. The striker's remaining suitors look set to be disappointed however as, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have decided that Higuain will not be sold.

you could almost certainly find better value elsewhere. but you sort of made a rod for your own back last season by paying such a mental sum for mangala.

2 Premier League titles and ending a 35 year losing streak ain't what I would call "spunked" cash. Of course I know we have paid above market value for several players and some haven't turned out as hoped. However, we aren't on our own and every single club at one point has bought a player who then turned out to be a duffer.

Jack doesn't want to move (he's Landan frew and frew mate), he's well in contract, we need to keep our Brit quota up and Wenger doesn't want or need to sell. The days of needing to swallow hard and feed competitors with top talent (in the case of Citeh, that only ever applied to Naz anyway - the others were good biz).
