Forwarded by UK press re missing papers in their ward:

A spokesman said: "We are sorry to hear that an overseas elector did not receive their postal pack.On Wednesday, April 15, We sent out an early dispatch of postal votes for overseas and service voters, in advance of the normal postal vote dispatch, as recommended by the Electoral Commission. The very tight deadlines, set by the Electoral Commission, between the last date for nominations and polling day mean the period in which postal votes are issued is quite short which can make it difficult for some overseas electors' to receive and return their packs in time. The advice of the council and the Electoral Commission to voters living overseas is to apply for a proxy vote."
