I was just waiting for this song coming, sorry, but I don't like this version, it seems

to go right off the actual tune.

Any of you Australians got this song with the proper melody?

This is a pretty good version

or

I prefer this one

Can't forget this group.

Yes, what a group, Judith Durham, what a fantastic singer.

if your stuck, then this can also apply to your favourite country

For sheer entertainment value, one of my favorite countries ...

Pretty sure the guy who's crying forgot the words and is worried about being executed.

By a ground to air missile no less, poor s.d

Regarding Judith Durham, a wonderful singer and a beautiful smile complementing her as she sings A national pride.

But these boys below always make me wish I had done to a university down under ,learning would have been such fun.

In your opinion and imo the best thing billy bragg ever did was open a tea shop.

Fair enough. Weird that you picked one of his songs, though.

i first heard it when she sung it and liked it probably as much down to lillywhite as her. tbh always had it down as one of her songs. saw one or two of braggs first gigs he got quite a lot of publicity but he didnt live up to the hype and rightly or wrongly didnt reallly like or maybe didnt give enougj time 2 the bits of his stuff i heard.

He wrote it, though. Kind of odd to say he didn't live up to the hype when he's still playing to big crowds even now.

But we're off topic here.

Probably the most iconic song ever from Oz as long as you like C&W. Slim Dusty with 'A pub with no beer" Youtube.com/watch?v=8E0aZ387M_I not sure where this was shot, but sure reminds me of a place called "John Wayne Country" in Oz.

Cheers

The German's are so gonna hate me for posting this:

And there was me thinking you were just finding fault.

A great Scottish singer and a great song.

Moira Anderson is another good one....

Yes, she is.

Living in Ireland on the west coast for a while, there's a magic there that everyone should experience in their life at least once.

Very different from the regulated streets of suburban England.

Whenever I miss my native Norway I just play this song, performed by Sissel .
