I read that the suspension is adjustable to a "comfort" . How is that accomplished and can you really get a less jarring ride? I hope so.

The made the rear leaf springs longer than the outgoing Vigo - i.e. bought them up to about the same lengths as every other pickup now. It tends to help these pickups ride the smaller bumps a little better, but don't expect it to ride like an SUV with rear coils. It's not adjustable - they have 3 different leaf spring setups that are fitted to various different models - if you want the 'comfort' tuning, you'll need to buy a model that comes with it (and you'll need to sacrifice some load carrying ability).

If you really want a truck that rides like an SUV, Australia will be getting a version of the Navara NP300 with rear coils later this year - so probable the Thai aftermarket (or even Nissan dealers) will work out the parts required for an "OEM" rear spring conversion for it.

Note: under Thai pickup classification rules, they are not currently allowed to be sold with a sprung rear-end here.

What's with the bottle holder on the dash? It doesn't seem to fit the bottles very well.

That photo is usually accompanied by a caption explaining that the glovebox is chilled. There's a small AC pipe running into it...

They obviously have seen it then, but not driven it :)

It's only incrementally better to drive than the Champ, but it is better.

Prices are up 5-15% across the range - so understandable many people's first reaction is sticker-shock, followed by justifications as to why it's unnecessary to update their Vigo wink.png

Compared to prices some would have paid 10 years ago for their existing Vigo, the difference can be 40+% - for a well maintained old Vigo, it would be hard to make a case to update on that basis.

Im renting this Chevy Crossover at the moment. Costs about 44K$ U.S. for top LTZ . 4x4. Makes a Fortuna Spivo seem like the Truck it really is .and the new Explorer is excellent im told with its Range Rover copy nose.15 % increase from Toyo.?..Ah well..post-175700-0-59386700-1433222281_thumb.

Have a good time driving it, but we can't get em in Thailand can we, we of limited wealth are given few options.

Sure your right but the 'Thai Rolls Royce' guys will buy it. smile.png

Oh yeah, it's going to be the mandatory choice to qualify as a village hiso - no doubt - as will the new Fortuner :)

I just wonder how the villagers that already spun around all the money they could to get their current Vigo/Tuna are going to be able to do it again at 15/30+% more expensive respectively ;)

I saw a pre runner 4door yesterday at the shops at 803,000. This was a 2.4 manual. I was amazed that what looked like alloy wheels (which is what you would expect at that price) were in fact wheel trims over steel wheels! The big ipad looking thing was actually only a tiny dispay of about 4". No steering wheel controls. Very basic and offered nothing inside over the base model pickups. It was silver colour with black interior but out of place brown seat material. (didnt isuzu offer this for a while now along with chain driven cams and intercooler in front of the radiator?

I just cant get used to the nose of the thing. It is way too over exaggerated and from some angles, actually comical. It must easily add 6 inches of unnecessary length to an already long car which wont help parking.

What a rip off.
