'One of the leading low-cost airlines, Jetstar Asia, is moving to the Suvarnahumi Airport on September 15th, 2006. Jetstar Asia will be the first foreign airline to use Suvarnabhumi Airport, flying from Singapore three times a day.'

yeah, i left this out, my friends are flying by Jetstarasia.

'Why is Jetstar moving to the Suvarnabhumi airport ahead of other airlines?

Jetstar has elected to move to this brand new airport on 15th September 2006, to ensure a smooth transition ahead of other airlines. Suvarnabhumi Airport is the new international airport for Bangkok. All airlines must move to this new airport by 28th September 2006.'

A number of airlines inc Thai and Singapore airlines and cheap airlines have moved or are testing the new airport already. They say systems ok but other airlines are dragging feet and have no presence there as yet. Recent tests found faults to be corrected but most were input faults from none trained staff! Other airlines are avoiding 28-29th to save customers problems.

Can you imagine the daft situation with all these "other"airline passengers all heading out by taxi-charabang and buffalo /ox cart on the 29th Sept.to Dom M and finding the place deserted.

The lights will be out, there will be rice shoots starting to grow on the old runways, the golfers can play safe and no doubt there will a big notice nailed to the front door (in Thai ..of course :D )saying that all departing flights to wherever in the world you wanna go will be leaving from the "other place" :D ...

Get on yer skates.....TIT :o
