New Samsung tablets?

Featured Replies

The new Samsung Tab A has 1024 x 768 resolution? are they kidding? they missed on this one.

The Tab S 10.5. is not out of the question, seems a bit older now, maybe something else brewing?

would be great to find something with Android 5.1, that might be impossible.

Going to keep an eye on it.

Miss Samsung and Android all together and get a Chinese tablet running Windows 8.1( or a dual boot Win/Android) can get better resolution screens. HDMI output and considerably cheaper.

Sounds good. Recommendations?

I assume the Chinese ones are quite a bit cheaper but more prone to having problems.

Other opiions?

I got a Teclast X89 (6,500b) based on web and youtube reviews. It seems like one of the best manufacturers. Only had it a week, but so far very happy!

Another brand that has good reviews are Chuwi the Vi8 ( I think) has better resolution screen and 32 or 64g ROM. 2 g ram.

Mine is like an iPad mini clone they also do a iPad air clone X98 3g (8,500b) and an 8" Android style tablet called the X80. That's on Olx.com for 4k thai baht ( resolution is lower)

Well, it's for a friend and she is really not familiar with windows, more of an android person.

The Teclast tablet looks very cool, too bad not Win10/Android, soon I guess. Win10 is a nice improvement.

I will look at some other alternatives, maybe Asus etc.

Not against Chinese stuff, my portable music equipment is all Chinese: iBasso DX90 + Cayin C5 amp.

Well Win 10 isn't really out yet on general release. But but the talk is that it will be a free upgrade when it is.

They are saying Android is weak as far as people are able to steal your information thru them.Might want to be careful

With banking etc.

^ Android is weak. No doubt about that.

Total freedom at a price you might never have considered.

Much safer on an iPad.

It is worth hanging about a bit for the anticipated replacement for the 7" Tab 4 if it is this size you are looking for.

I think larger is better - 8" to 10" or so. will take a look at some of the Chinese ones and Asus.. Andriod is fine for what it will be used for, no banking etc. just web browsing, email, facebook.

dual boot with windows not important.

will that 7" Tab 4 have the low res screen?

thx
