BANGKOK: - The Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) is to stage a public auction in July of the properties seized from Ufun Store in order to raise fund to help its cheated victims.

AMLO secretary-general Pol Col Sihanart Prayoonrat said Friday that the seized items to be put on auction include several luxurious cars such as BMW I8 and brand new Mercedes Benz.

Meanwhile, AMLO held an auction of the assets seized from former commissioner of Central Investigation Bureau Pol Lt-Gen Pongpat Chayaphan. The 105 seized items include antique furniture, paintings, sculptures and antiquated Buddha images.

The auction was however dull as only a small number of potential bidders showed up although the prices of several items have been slashed in order to attract bidders.
