Police make major drug arrest in BKK

BANGKOK, 29 May 2015 (NNT) - Police in Bangkok confiscated more than 21 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and two million methamphetamine pills on Wednesday night.

Pol.Gen. Pongsapat Pongcharoen, deputy police chief, said on Thursday that the drugs were seized following a raid on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 110.

Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested during the raid. They were identified as Phuwadol Chindawong, 31, and Veerachart Sangwanwong, 34. Both of them are from the northern province of Chiang Rai.

Pol. Gen.Pongsapat said police had conducted intelligence work for over a month and discovered that the two suspects used the house to store illegal drugs delivered from Thailand's northern region.

Without pictures of the perpetrators sitting at a table and pointing at the confiscated drugs whilst the BIB (at least 6 of them) stand behind them happily smiling, I shan't believe it happened. tongue.png

The drugs were released on bail before the photographer showed up.
