Thai buys a new car, wants to register herself.

Featured Replies

So the new car comes in about three weeks, paying cash. The dealer said that the company always register their cars in Bangkok. She wants to register it in Nonthaburi, that's the easy bit.

NOW she has two choices of numbers to put on the car ... by the way these are 'lucky numbers'!! I can't believe this as when we lived in the UK she appeared quite normal ...obviously been back here too long.

One 'lucky number' is on her old car and she has 'reserved' another other 'lucky number' today at the Land Transport Office and that will be issued in 2-3 months time.

OK .. how should she go about this, either put the number off her old car onto the new car or put the 'reserved' number onto the new car. ... what should she ask the dealer to supply 'paperwork' wise for each case..

Both the old car and the new car are in her name.

As an aside when MY Everest comes, I have to change the 'lucky number' from MY truck onto it ... both are in MY name ... guess that will be much more difficult, I do have a Yellow Book

Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you tell her that among people with lucky number 30000 die on the road every year ?

Funny that you guys accept their ridiculous stories... :-)
