construction on the train project is already ongoing. the line starts from makkasan (petchburi / asoke intersection) runs along rama 9 road and later parallel to the chonburi motorway. part of the line is surface and some parts are elevated. if you drive along rama 9 and take the motorway towards chonburi - look for the columns for the elevated rail on your right. completion 2009.

Anywhere esle in the world, the website would be operational and yes there would be a rail link operational before the airport was open.

I spoke with people involved withthe building of the rail link, and they say that they had so many delays due to the government corruption, they wanted CASH, HOLIDAYS< KICKBACKS ETC, However this international company building the rail link told them to go and stick it !!!!! So hence the delays!!

anyway, eveything here is not as a public service, but a function for the police and government to extort money from either the public or vendors !!
