Permit to stay, extension.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had recent experience of getting an extension to stay on their non immigrant O marriage visa.
I'd be particularly interested to hear from anyone who's used the Mae Hongson Immigration office.

Im due for a renewal in a few days & they always catch me out with some new requirement.
My list from last year is:

TM 7 + fee
Marriage certificate copy
Wifes Tabien Baan copy
Wifes ID card copy
Passport, visa & arrival card copy
Bank letter & copy of bank book 400 k B
Bank book for checking account for living expenses, copy
2 passport photos
Hand drawn map to house
Photo of you & wife in front of house
Photos of you & wife in every room of the house

Thanks in advance.

This is the Chiang Mai forum. It would seem that things vary from office to office. Not always the same. Have heard that Mae Hongson is just a bunch of nit pickers (sounds better than bastards). Good luck.

You might want to take a picture of you and the wife sitting on the bed. I have heard people say they were asked for one.

I was tempted to give them a pic of me sitting on the toilet, but the wife wouldn't let me.

Yes, its the CM forum, but MHS doesn't have a forum yet, mods ?

I think maybe you could start one. Perhaps a mod will jump in here with information. Is there enough expats there in Mai Hongson? Beautiful town. Love the lake.
