Is there any classes or clubs for children to attend outside of school to develop their talent? Our 8 year old Is quite talented and we'd like him to be able to develop this talent.

Havn't been to the gallery for 5 years or so but hunt this for starters:

Straight across from Toyota showroom on Mahidol near to Airport Plaza there is a small art gallery and behind this there certainly were art classes for all ages but information is dated so no guarantees.

Good luck.

Art is quite a broad subject, and this may not be quite what you were looking for, but the Chiang Mai Drama Centre is fantastic for kids aged 6 up. Not expensive either, and the lady who runs it is an experienced drama teacher from the UK.

We found Global art was not what we were looking for they just focused on colouring for the first level our daughter was way past that and lets just say they were more interested in money then art you had to buy the pack from global art and a t shirt and hat just to attend there, so i got in my car and drove round to them all and asked lots of them did not take younger children we found it really hard she now attends Smart Art near chang phuek gate it's on the right hand side just after the military shop on the way to the three kings monument as if you are driving to we tv .

It's a nice relaxed atmosphere where children are allowed to flourish being a round good artists of all ages has really brought out the best of my daughter work and has improved so much in the last year .
