whistling.gif What you can do is to take two fully loaded magazines and tape them together with one upside down.

Then when you fire one magazine empty you then eject/remove the empty magazine and turn the full one over and load it into the weapon and fire the new loaded magazine. Can be done one-handed rather quickly with some practice.

Khun PM thank you for finally ordering the complete issue of the law no matter how powerful or just some crooked volunteers. One step at a time but it will take many step to cure the history about these people who think not about government but just there bad habits and greed to pay for them. No fish to small to make a example for such conduct!

This is outrageous. Those guns are fully automatic "machine gun" assault weapons which can hold either 20 or 30 rounds depending on magazine. It's quick and easy to put in a fresh magazine. With the standard NATO 62 grain 5.56 cartridge they will fire around 700 - 800 rounds per minute. The guns were probably made by Colt in the USA to very high standards. This whole thing is sickening.

There is no excuse to ever, for any reason, lose track of those guns. End of.

No, they won't. The figure quoted is the cyclic rate, and shouldn't be confused with actual capability.

To reach the 700 rounds per minute using a 30 round magazine the operator would need to replace the magazine 24 times in a minute and be very lucky not to get a jam due to excessive heat. If the operator is firing at a target he will have to bring the gun down to change the magazine and up again to the target.

24 magazines in a minute is impossible to do.

I think there are kind of magazines that hold hundreds of 5.56 rounds, I used them before in my army time 22 yrs ago.

The magazine is of round shape.

Let's add another question:

Why are civilian volunteers even allowed weapon armories much less able to remove weapons without military authority?

Yeah. Broom sticks and shouting "bang" was good enough for Dad's Army.

I'm curious. If Thailand buys 1 M-16 from the U.S. At $1,200 .How much will A thief sell it for on the black market in Thailand?

Remember A single shot rifle isn't cheap to buy in Thailand.

So, are the guns back in the armoury or not, that is the question? The news item/post does not make that clear so there is no point in assuming they are back. They are referred to as "lost" and "disappeared," not "Borrowed" or "returned." Where are those guns NOW? Some of these journos are really good at NOT asking the appropriate questions if it might embarrass someone or make them lose face.
