My girlfriend and I live in Chiang Mai and have 2 young children, however she comes from Loei province and both children are registered in the house book for "Grandma's house" near Nong Hin. I now want to go through the legal process for legitimizing my children (as detailed in option 3 of this post: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/381917-how-to-gain-parental-rights-as-a-father/) in order to become eligible for a long-term visa to stay here and raise them.

Unfortunately you can only go through this family court process in the area where the children are "registered" rather than where they live (...). As such we are looking for a lawyer in the Loei Muang / Nong Hin area guide us through the family courts. My girlfriend is on the ground up there at the moment showing off our new born to the village and has been looking into finding a lawyer ... with absolutely no luck.

Can anyone recommend a law firm in Loei that might be able to help?
