I have had my btinternet.com e-mail address for many years and now pay 1.6 English pound per months for it...I know that I should change to a free one ....but I find my old mails from years ago very useful

Anyway two days ago I couldn't get to my mail on my Samsung Note, my wife's Note or her pad. It came up with ERROR Unrecognised page Header Line 3. I could get to my mail on the PC. Yesterday I could access my mail on my mobile.

This morning I can't get to my mail on my mobile ... same ERROR as two days ago. AND I cant access via my PC either. these notices come up

I don't see anyone else on this forum complaining ... so it's me! doing something wrong? Or are they having a big problems with their mail

Rather than pay BT/Yahoo for poor service you can open another account elsewhere and transfer all your old emails to the new account via IMAP.

Personally I prefer to pay for email service rather than rely on the likes of Gmail etc and for USD12 per year I get a very good service from Polarismail.

New login page

https://signin1.bt.com/login/emailloginform

You could also try a POP3 email program ( I use Forte Agent ) with the advantage that you can keep copies of your email on your local computer

read compose offline and send later.

server mail.btinternet.com

login method simple username and password

use non standard POP3 port 995

enable option "leave mesages on server" if you want to also keep using the web based access method.

Thanks guys ... it's working again now via my normal log in www.bt.com ...they must be doing some upgrades/changes.

I really want to keep this address ... it was free up to a year or so ago when they found out that Iand many others weren't BT customers anymore. Difficult when you live overhere.

This e-mail address is also 'last resort' password reset address for a couple of my friends. And all my other adresses and my wifes come through to here aswell.

I'll give them a chance to sort out their problems for a while ...I see on the internet that I'm not the only one having these problems ... thanks for your replies

I got an e-mail from Yahoo saying they were upgrading over the weekend. Between 23-00 and 03-00 ( saturday night, I believe it was ).

That is what your problem appears to have been.
