Apologies for this TIRED Topic: Motorcycle LIcense

Featured Replies

I know this is tired, but someone said to me;

With an international Drivers license, my Canadian Driver's License, which shows I am registered in Canada for Class 6 (motorcycles)

that I DO NOT NEED to do a motorcycle driving test.

Simply walk in, get photo taken, possibly take an eye examination, and that's it.

Can anyone in a similar circumstance confirm this to be true?

MUCH appreciated.

It depends on the day of the week, the position of the stars, and the person behind the desk.

There seems to be no definitive answer for your question. My wife and I both have the same Japanese licenses, but I had to take the test and she didn't. We went on different days.

Regardless, the actual Thai driving test took, oh... a good 4-5 minutes with no one paying any attention to what was going on in the lanes. It was the damn video that I had to w̶a̶t̶c̶h̶ sit though that took up all the time!

I went in February to exchange my driving licence, unfortunately had to do the full test. They did tell me if it had been an international licence it could have been a straight swap.

Well there you have the definitive answer you were looking for in the above posts laugh.png

Should be plain sailing from here on in thumbsup.gif
