New Immigration Office at Promenada - Opening Ceremony 15 July

One of my friends just received an official invitation to attend the 'Grand Opening' of the new immigration office on the ground floor of Promenada under the connection bridges on Friday 15 July, starting at 1730 hrs.

This means that most likely it will now open on Monday, 17th July

I hope this relieves the staff of the discomfort of working in the cramped conditions at their current office. I was there recently. It was packed, hot and noisy. I wondered how they keep so cheerful. They were friendly, courteous and very helpful.

All they need now is a complete revamp of all the rules and regulations they have to observe.

These seem totally antiquated, and custom designed to create huge amounts of unecessary paperwork.

I wish them all a happy stay at Promenada!
