Transport Ministry to work on traffic system within Suvarnabhumi Airport

The Transport Ministry will readjust traffic system within Suvarnabhumi Airport so traffic problems would be reduced following its official opening date on September 28th.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Gen. Chainant Charoensiri (ชัยนันท์ เจริญศิริ), disclosed that the ministry will hold a meeting with relevant agencies on the 22nd of September. He said Department of Rural Roads Director-General Surachai Thansithpong (สุรชัย ธารสิทธิ์พงษ์) will be taking care of the traffic system of the new airport. He will facilitate the passengers and more than 100 trucks that are carrying the equipments of Thai Airways to the airport.

He said the officials will arrange the system within the airport during the 27th and 28th of September as traffic problems are expected on its opening date.

Gen. Chainant added that related director-generals of all departments have been instructed to station at the center of the Transport Ministry in Suvarnabhumi September 27th. They are authorized to give out orders in case of an emergency situation as the center will be opened for 24 hours everyday.
