thanks guys, not interested in english footi thats on when i am in bedi-bi's.any other from 2am-5am thai time.

the past couple of yrs.i have been watching,la-liga = real madrid, barcelona, atheltico madrid, and serie A includes juventus,napoli,inter-milan and acmilan so i have had a good run.also i dont mind watching psg.french league.

but its the rugby league and union i miss along with the athletics[diamond league]

what i have found i think is la-liga and serie A is shown on true but at 2,000bht.a month they can stick it.

i used to be able to get all the ausi rugby but that channel was taken off thai air.

what i did find regarding the euro qualifiers was gmmz.only had them live in 2014-2015.

Over the many years, whether it was Manila, Bangkok or even Kunming, I have fought to receive decent TV. Satellite dishes small, medium and extra large, the end product was the same, rain outs, suppliers gouging , suppliers dropping channels that I liked, the list goes on.

I now run an Irish Bar in Dongguan and have got to know a large number of people, one of them told me about a TV box he had just purchased from a company in Shenzhen (across the border from HK).

I did a Google search and was very impressed with what I read. Called them, got their bank details, paid by ATM transfer at 7pm in the evening and the required box was received by noon the next day.

Now this works off the internet, and the signal in the bar is very weak so I was sceptical, however plugged it all in and WAM perfect picture and sound etc. absolutely brilliant.

I purchased a second unit for my home, again a very weak internet area but again it worked extremely well.

There are hundreds of channels available including SKYSPORTS 1-5, BT Sports, around 15 Bein channels plus hundreds of other entertainment channels, news channels and cartoon channels.

The cost for the unit is 2,000 RMB which includes one years subscription then 500 RMB a year for annual subscription. A friend from Manila who I recommended it to, bought two, they were sent to Manila by DHL and he is very very happy.

If anyone is interested send me a PM and I will give you details. I am not involved with this company, just a very content customer.

I gave up using the phone with them. Sign up online and use the automated system, it's the only way to buy, renew and pay for packages.

Dear satelite dish experts :). I would greatly appreciate some help. I live in Nakhon Nayok. I started 6/7 years ago using IPM, little dish like True.. Very good selection of stations no monthly fee, and a good interface on the box.

Got sick of the regular rainouts and need to replace- adjust the dish head so changed to a bigger dish (probably 1.5 metre without measuring) got 2nd hand with samart box. Reception has aways been good. Lately found a few good stations disappeared due to changing mhz or something and samart say the box is to old to adjust. It uses thaicomm 5. Box interface is very bad, can only view about 10 stations when browsing but used to be able to view about 50 on the ipm.

So i a. Hoping i can buy a new and better box without having to tune the dish. Preferably one that has some english language stations. I also want to add a second box to receive in another room.

Can anyone advise:

Good box that uses thaicomm 5.

What adjustments do i need to make to add a second box. Samart says the dish will need a new head that allows two boxes, if it is true i dont mind provided i dont have to string a second cable to it.

Many thanks

Nick

If your dish is big enough (2.3 Meters I think?), you should be able to pick up the BBC and the Australia network for free, and many other channels, with a decent HD satellite box. + its fun to look for new satellites.

I forgot to mention about adding a motor to the dish, which can turn on its own if you program your box correctly.

That's what I was thinking. You're describing what I think we call a C-band TVRO antenna.

But it looks like the only English language satellite you can pick up is Australian? I'd be interested if there's a workaround of some sort.
