July 20, 201510 yr Moving to Koret from Ireland next year Looking for a good English speaking school for my 9 year old daughter Can anybody help? Thanks in advance
July 20, 201510 yr It is unfortunate that the OP is choosing to move; his daughter (presumably his most precious gift in life) would be better served by staying in school in Ireland. I have two daughters (one 10, the other 8) and I would never subject them to the misgivings of a Thai education... even if provided in 'English'.
July 20, 201510 yr There are a number of private English speaking schools in Korat that are superior to the public school system. You should be able to locate some on Google. Being Irish, you may be Catholic. There is a private Catholic school that many foreigners, even non Christians like very much It is called Assumption School. Another one expats seem to approve of is called Sarasas School. Again, Google is your fiend and you can find many opinions about different schools in Korat from parents of students at the schools. Good Luck. P.S. I am a recovering Irish Catholic who went to Catholic schools as a child and I could never put my Buddhist daughter through that. But, to each his own.
July 20, 201510 yr Depends on your budget. There is an international school in Khao Yai, Pak Chong, but too far from Korat to travel every day. Saint Stephens International School
