I dunno, was in PP fairly recently and got nobbled on the street. Chased the scoundrels off, but this kind of carry-on hasn’t been an issue here for me. Also don’t reckon the place is as cheap as people say. If you like drinking dishwater beer, then sure, but vis-a-vis Thailand on quality items, I found it the same or more. Great that the low end Chinese are going there instead. They are a nuisance to other visitors. Let’s hope the hordes of lower end Indians and Russians divert there, too. They kinda all fit in well together well. -

About those jobs that "Americans won't do"....
Mostly it's about replacement/setting up a caste system. Western countries have placed half of their industry in Asia (mostly China) between 1980-2010. What has happened in places that 'require' foreign workers is that the existing population don't want to work around a bunch of desperado browns and blacks who are only there to send money home to their lame family in Nigeria, India or the Philippines, so they sold up and moved to rural areas, took early retirement, went on welfare, or moved abroad. That's the reality. People can spin whatever fictional tales about it if they want. -
