Samsung Tablet S being shiped to thailand via UPS

I have a friend back in america shipping me their Samsung Tablet S and they ship it UPS service. They ship it UPS because it was $100.00 less then DHL. I hear that custom's allows laptops to be shiped into thailand for free. If not can anybody tell me what I can expect to pay in customs fee's for a 6 month old tablet coming into thailand. I think these tablets go for $600.00 new in thailand.
