Looking to stay in CM for a month in Jan/high season with wife and 2 kids whilst I do some some work, does anyone have an idea of some areas to focus my search on for 1 month stay serviced apartments? We dont really want the hassle (or danger ) of renting a car so would prefer a 2bed place somewhere central which is within walking distance of most things - budgetwise looking to spend 100k for the month, can go higher if its nice enough.

Yes, Kantary Hills is very nice and well-located just off Nimmanheimen. Also Frangipani Serviced Residences http://www.chiangmaifrangipani.com/ right in the center of the Old City.

With the budget mentioned, I think the OP will want something a little more upscale than Hillside 4.

A little out of the box but the Santitham Guest house is worth a look -

Forget the guest house aspect - there's a stand alone house within the gardens which is top class. Expect to pay around 50,000/60,000 for the month for that entire unit in January.
