It's great. Good-on the perpetrator. What does the govt expect if it wants to have a Line account. Get real!!!

Whats your point?.... (don't say "." by the way).

The U.S State dept has tons of social media accounts.

Line is one of the most used social media applications in Thailand. Are you saying the Thailand foreign affairs ministry should never have opened the Line account because there was a risk that someone might post a penis picture.

'“Actions will be taken.”' No doubt they will, and probably already have. Then back to work.

It's hardly news worthy: some do and some don't, simple as that, and this one obviously does....

Sees dick, wants action.

Anyone notice the surname of the Thai lady who replied to his photo?

Interesting, is that marks sister?

Whether it is acceptable to post such pictures needs to be mass debated.

A quick pull of the accused journalist's credentials and a stiff yet very diminutive fine is in order.

His credentials should be removed from the website. His company should be informed of his little problem and told that they had a big problem as they can no longer access the website or facilites for a certain period.

he wanted to send the photo to his girlfriend. and hit the wrong button.

and forever on the internet anytime you Google his name.

TV Asahi journalist in Thailand in trouble after sending explicit photo via Line app

TV Asahi apologized Saturday after its Bangkok bureau chief posted an image of his genitals on a mobile forum set up by Thailand’s Foreign Ministry, which warned of “consequences.”

A spokesman for the broadcaster said the unnamed employee has been removed from the job due to his “extremely inappropriate” behavior.

The ministry demanded an explanation for the graphic picture that appeared late Monday in the forum, which was set up for foreign journalists working in Thailand.

“We deeply apologize to the Thai Foreign Ministry and other people concerned,” the spokesman said, adding the journalist has been urged to “seriously reflect” on the incident.

Japanese media said the bureau chief, who is in his forties, had meant to send the picture to a female friend, but instead uploaded it through popular messaging app Line to about 150 journalists who belong to the forum.

He left the forum immediately after the incident, prompting a warning that “actions will be taken” from a ministry official and a vomiting emoji from one group member as a few others in the forum questioned what had just happened.

“May we remind you that this (forum) is for official purposes. Actions will be taken,” the ministry official said. “Just leaving the room does not mean this action won’t have consequences.”

Cases of so-called “sexting,” or sending sexually explicit images by phone, have exploded with the prevalence of smartphones and other mobile devices.

Brilliant!!! clap2.gif

cheesy.gif Does anybody remember a few years back when somebody slipped in a picture of a topless gal into a slideshow presentation that some MP was showing to Parliament?

I thought that one was pretty good smile.png

By all accounts, it appears to be just a small cockup

This could be more serious, we all know what Thailand is famous for, perhaps the statement was the Thai government should be doing more to help the little man
