The perils of a Bangkok taxi driver - Mother's Day video commerial

Featured Replies

Tesco Lotus has released this video to mark Mother's Day on Aug 12.

If anyone remembers the My Dad is a Liar commercial from last year, this latest video from Tesco Lotus also aims to make an emotional connection with the viewer.

The message of the video is about love conquering all and the lengths a parent will go to for the wellbeing of their child - albeit with a surprising ending.

A lovely short story and one in which it shows the love for a child by a parent. What makes this better is that it's take. From a true story. At the end you will see a link to the interview with the driver. The Thai companies do produce some really good short stories like this these days..

Indirectly points out a huge problem...men are often not in the Thai children's lives...the mother is left to fend for herself...and Thai society turns their head to look the other way...

Some laws need to be passed to make men who father Thai children responsible for providing for the child's wellbeing...

Taking a young woman...making her pregnant...having children...then just walking away with no responsibility and no regrets has got to stop...IMHO
