Can't really comment on Siam Legal...don't know as I did it myself for my wife over 10 years ago (first she was denied, year later got a one tourist visa ....now has a 10 year tourist visa)...

What they told me waaay back then was that the most important thing to show is that she is going to return to her country. First denial was because she had a blank passport (never traveled outside the country), couldn't verify her job and owned no property . Next application all that was remedied and she got visa.

I'm retired in Thailand but I work overseas with the US Goverment . I got married to my thai wife four years and 3 months ago. We have three boys one is US and Thai citizen and the other two are Thai citizens. we own our house, separate car garage for our two cars, 6 rai land for farming, A small store in the village that we build, I'm trying to get my thai wife a tourist or visitor visa to go to the US for 6 days to visit my daughters and brother in the US. Siam legal is helping us with the paper work. I send all the papers that they ask for. now my wife have to do her part wish in writing a letter of introduction plus other documents. what is the best way to write a letter of introduction to send to SIAM LEGAL.

Pepo...Thanks for being more specific than your last post.

Check out Google search...."introduction letters to get tourist visa to US" ...there are plenty of examples.

That being said....All US immigration is looking for in giving a tourist visa is that your wife will return. What you have said above sounds plenty good to put in a letter of introduction.

Siam legal, like other facilators are just going for "overkill" (which is fine) in trying to get as many documents as possible to get your wife a tourist visa.

In fact you might want to also write a letter explaining just what you did in your post on behalf of your wife (I did and my wife got hers as her daughter did also)

Also, I would include copies of the chanote showing your wife owns land in Thailand.

Hi pepo

Okay, that all sounds pretty good, but please clarify. You are in Thailand on a O visa based on retirement? And, you work outside of Thailand for the US Gov.? In other words, you use Thailand as home and a base for work outside of Thailand?

This is important.

I'll play the devil advocate. The US Embassy or Consulate has never required an introduction letter or guaranty letter.. The company your dealing with is primarily British orientated and this is a requirement for UK nationals. What these types of visa company do is make up a set of generic guidelines. What the US Embassy will be looking for is her reason for NOT staying in the US and this is where you come in and your status in Thailand can play a very large part. Yes my wife has a 10 year multi and on her interview she not only had copies but she had my passport and my bank book. The interviewing official took one look at these and her visa was granted. BTW she did not have a introduction letter. Just for further info She owns a business , owns a house, has living parents and a son all of this documented. Her personal bank account only had 50k in it. The interviewing official never looked at any of this only her application and my passport and bankbook.
