Mid Sized Laser Printer Recco

Featured Replies

Hey All,

On the hunt for a laser printer for my home office and I am a dunce on the subject. I'm tired of scrappy inkjet printers and downloading HP drivers that are 250 MB and slow down my computer.

Some things I wanted to get an opinion on:

- what brand has cheapest toners in Thailand?

- what brand is easiest to use on a windows home network?

I want something that prints fast. Can scan multi page documents through a feeder, and does double sided printing (the easy way!), can network easily, and doesnt break the bank on toner fees. Doesnt need to be a floor unit, a large desk unit is preferable. Cost up to 15,000 baht.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks

SM

Brother has a few good looking models.

Looking at the mfc-9140

Didnt realize theres such a thing as an LED printer now. Not sure that laser is a requirement.

Well after heading in an comparing toner cartridge costs at Office Mate I noticed that Samsung had some pretty cheap toners and affordable printers.

Does anyone have experience with Samsung laser printers?

The toner cartridges for the Brother MFC-9140 were 2000 baht a peice

The toners for the Samsung printers were around 1500 baht a peice

They can get me an MFC-9140 into Chiang Mai next day service but the cost will be 17,000 baht. Then I need to add the cost of 4 x 2000 baht toner cartridges for a grand total of 25,000 baht + tax

A bit more than I wanted to spend me thinks.

Just thinking out loud to the internet
