Israel suspends detention of Palestinian hunger striker

Here is quite a good summary of the sort of thing that happens when suspected terrorists are not detained.

I wonder whether our esteemed members would have the same attitude if such attacks were targeting themselves and their families on a daily basis?

In other news Israel bans ten right wing activists from travel to the West Bank, if the boot were on the other foot and the movement of Palestinians were restricted there would be ten pages of whining here.

The boot is on the other foot. Israel wanted to exile the hunger striker Mohammed Allen for 4 years.... a man not charged with any crime. A routine Israeli punishment.

Simple. I would suggest the invading illegal colonists end their occupation and get out of the West Bank. Any danger would then cease. And the two peoples could start working towards a permanent and just peace agreement with mutually and internationally recognized borders.
Israel should not just ban the trouble making right wing Jewish activists from travel. They should put them under administrative detention too....same treatment they mete out to Palestinians.

Useless ban. The Jewish terrorist suspected of burning to death a Palestinian child and who is now one of just 3 Jewish terrorists in AD, was also banned from the West Bank. A ban didn't stop him......yet Admin Det. PRIOR to his latest act of terrorism and child murder would have.

On the one hand, you advocate AD as a preventative measure, but when it comes to Jewish terrorists, a simple ban is sufficient, in your view?

Has anyone actually been convicted of the Duma murders? If not your post is as counter-factual as most of your others.

The guy you are talking about has not even been accused of burning to death an Arab child, So is not even a suspect. He was banned only because he is an extremist.

He's in AD because he's suspected of the Duma murders. He was banned from the West Bank because of his extremist and criminal activities prior.

Come now, you are arguing his administrative detention PRIOR (your emphasis) to HIS (my emphasis) latest act of terrorism and child murder would have.

It's as clear as day you have engaged in blood libel should it turn out the man detained was not the Duma murderer.

Not that it is in any way unusual for some of our esteemed members to engage in tendentious rhetoric. Edited by Scott

i am honestly astounded by your lack of reading comprehension.

Meir Ettinger was banned from the West Bank for previous extemist activities.

AFTER he broke that ban, and AFTER he was suspected of the Duma murders, he was placed in AD.

If he was placed in AD before the murders, the murders would not have happened (if it was him)...but Israel didn't put Israelis in AD before the Duma incident. They put bans on where they can and can not go.
