August 26, 201510 yr Hi everybody! I would like to know if someone had already removed their braces with an other orthodondist than the initial. For some reasons (too long to explain) I would like to remove my braces that I have since 5 years. The problem in Europe I need the approval of my orthodontist to see an other one. And she don't want to give me this. So if someone can advise me if it's possible and if you have some adress. Thanks for your reply
August 26, 201510 yr So if someone can advise me if it's possible and if you have some adress. I'm sure you can find an orthodontist who would do what you want, but for recommendations and addresses you need to say where you are ... Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai ...?
August 26, 201510 yr Author Suradite69 Oops sorry I forgot to mention it Ideally at bangkok ... Thanks in advance for your answer!
August 26, 201510 yr The big hospitals like Bangkok Hospital have dental units that would have orthodontists who you could see.
August 26, 201510 yr So if someone can advise me if it's possible and if you have some adress. I'm sure you can find an orthodontist who would do what you want, but for recommendations and addresses you need to say where you are ... Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai ...? Orthodontists are a closely knit society intent on getting supremely rich. My g/f came to Chiang Mai with European standard braces and they would not touch them. This was more than one orthodontist opinion. Finally after looking through half the city we relented and they removed her European standard braces and replaced them with 3M. There was a new startup fee, Xrays and all those other high value added costs included. If you look at all the young girls here with braces with startup fees and monthly fees ranging from 1000 baht a month to 2500 its like a license to steal. I think that after 2 years of forking over money the finally cast retainers with an exit fee of 5,000 and I think that was on the lower end.
August 27, 201510 yr Suggest the Dental Hospital on Suk Soi 49. http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/ If all you want is to remove the, as opposed to adjust them, I cannot imagine why an orthodontist would refuse. For an adjustment they might be concerned about needing the know the overall history/plan and being familiar with the type of brace, but just to remove...???
August 27, 201510 yr Author Hello guys! Thanks a lot for your answers! After few research it's possible to remove the only condition it's as elgordo38 said it's replace something to retain the teeth in place. It's only to remove, the problem that I have it's that I moved to an other country 3 years ago. I ask my orthodontist to send all the details to an other orthodondist but she didn't want I guess for money, and I can not move every month a country to an other country... Normally she can not do that I tried to complain with the justice but it's very expensive and long wait in Europe. And to consult an other orthodondist in Europe when you have already braces they refuse to touch it. Finally I am so glad to find a solution of this story.
