Detroit dad attacks child’s killer during sentencing hearing

DETROIT: -- WILD scenes have broken out in a US courtroom when a father lashed out at his daughter’s killer and punched him in the head.

The incident happened during the sentencing of Jasmine Gordon and her boyfriend Clifford Thomas, who were both convicted in the death of Gordon’s three-year-old daughter Jamila Smith, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Jamila’s father Dwayne Smith was about to deliver his victim impact statement when he crossed paths with Thomas and punched him in the head.

Officers from Wayne County Sheriff’s Office quickly separated the pair as loud yelling erupted in the courtroom.

In the video, Gordon can be seen crying and yelling “Jesus” as her lawyer, John McWilliams, tries to console her.

“It was pretty scary,” Mr McWilliams said.

“I’m glad nobody was seriously hurt”.

I would have done the same....just couldn't help it. To have the opportunity to come so close to the killer of my child.....

Without any doubt I would want to kill him if it was my daughter. I hope the father is not charged with anything.

Reminds me of the video where a dad actually shoots dead the murderer of is child. Calmly pretending to talk on the phone, steps round and pop the guy is dead.

Let the father have total unlimited access to these killers and give him immunity against anything he may do to them.

The father should have done a "Marianne Bachmeier" ... In 1981 she shot and killed her daughters murderer in the Court ... Well done

Gordon was sentenced to 7 to 15 years for involuntary manslaughter and 14-25 years for first-degree child abuse as an aider and abettor, which will be served at the same time.

What the h3ll is the point of consecutive sentences?

How does he suffer for each crime at the same time?

Does he have half as much food? Half as much exercise time? Twice as much b*****ing in the showers?
