Lets see "Security boost for tourists" ... Maybe keep RTP away from tourists could be a start ...

do they need a bomb going off in every district to wake up ?

Oh! A meeting!! Yay!!! Everyone should feel much better now.

................................fix the bloody CCTV security cameras would be a great start............!!!!!!!

I think tottaly good idea and I need one for my neighbour she abusing her dog , so the hole world can see what that Thai woman dos .

FUNNY

Well you can start by telling your staff to stop harrassing tourists on bikes and your so called check points... Even with a full licenese Tax Paid and your still looking for any reason to get money. Your rubbish boom boom talk about pipes on bikes LOL. In our country after market pipe on big bike no worries look at your Thais killing the air with old trucks and diesel cars

what a joke are you a Police Chief or what. You know very well whats happening not play dumb.

He wants them to install cameras and they pay right

While he collects thousands of baht every week from people just like them :)

Did you want her to cook and clean as well son LOL.... How about a free massage while your there

did this ahhhh..... ummmm....ehhhhh.... "lawman" fall down , bump head ?

Yes people you have to invest in your own security and with your own money because the police simply can not cope.

They can't even stop the jetski scam for gods sake. The most obvious, repetitive well known fraud that has been going on for years. If they had 50 professional dedicated coppers who weren't on the take in each resort, life would sort itself out in weeks.

How safe can Thailand be if we don't feel safe even with the police?

Force jetski operators to offer full-insurance. Stop the scams.

I'm a lot more worried about day-to-day scams and violence and traffic accident rates than I am about lone-wolf terrorists.

Oh! A meeting!! Yay!!! Everyone should feel much better now.

Only if they take pictures too, with loads of selfies uploaded to FB.

The article says more security cameras at shopping areas will "ensure safety".

Ummmmm...no.

Is this a reply or a nonsense?

Have you ever been to Thailand or maybe just new here ... ? Never heard about tourist shakedowns ... ? facepalm.gif

Some friends of mine didnt want to return to Thailand after first visit - they named RTP as main reason, second was dirty beaches, third was traffic and so on ...
