Win10 Groove and Film/TV player sound distortion

Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone can help, but ever since I upgraded my Win7 to Win10 Home 64bit laptop I notice that the sound is distorted when playing sound files with Win10 Groove Music or video files with Film & TV Player - (the video looks OK tho)..

My only workaround is to use third party media players like VLC or Kodi which run OK.

* Anyone know how to fix Win10 built in players to play sound correctly and why media files would play OK on the said third party players but not Win10 own players?

Have you checked the vendors website for the very latest drivers?

And checked all of Windows sound settings to make sure everything is set correctly?

Hi thanks for jogging my memory Chicog. I was having a brain freeze when Win10 device manager was saying device driver up to date. I finally found the vendors pub;ic forum where they had links to a working Win10 driver, and now it does work. So many thanks for the idea.

It was a Beats audio driver for an HP laptop. All good now.
