Any good on the fly English to Thai translation apps?

Featured Replies

I'm looking into a business idea that would use a paid app, however the app is in English, but the end users would be Thai speakers. Are there any good on the fly translation apps out there that would automatically translate the brief information from English into Thai?

The Google app is highly rated , i have tested it with Indonesian people and it works surprisingly well

It's very fast and refreshingly accurate but not so sure about Thai language

I have auto translate set on chrome browser and its translates Thai into complete garbage English words that makes no sense at all

Not sure how it would work in reverse (Thai into English)

I use TalkingThai it's an app for both phone platforms.

It translates words on the fly, It also can speak the thai word for you. It's a very handy app, not cheap though it is about 800baht but it's incredibly handy.

I have that same app. One of the best I have come across.

I have used Google Translate with my son in law. It's not very good.He pulled out his phone and had A good app but I don't know what it is.

The talking Thai is US $24.99 in the apple App Store, don't know if you can get it cheaper if you take a Thai version

Google Translate and Bing translate do not even give the same gibberish Thai to english translation ,

is there a website to try the Talking Thai program ?

If they don't have their own website there's bound to be a demo on YouTube in 2015...:)

Unfortunately Talking Thai is directed at foreigners wanting to learn and speak Thai

I wrote the publisher and asked if, due to Asian, they were thinking of reworking it with the idea of marketing it to Thais to use in business and they replied because of widespread plagiarism and intellectual property theft in Thailand they did not think it would be profitable
