looking at 13 year old car value 50-70,000 baht

Wife has Thai driver Liceanse 4 year no tickets,accidents..never had car..

We dont need the car to be covered but would like SOME insurance

For Body damage,injuries to other vehicale or occupants.

I heard there is a 3rd class+ insurance that cover damage to other cars ?

For the 'older' car then 2+1 and 3+1 is available usually to 20 years. The main difference between the '+1' and 1st Class cover is you need to be in an accident with another vehicle in order to be covered for damages to your car e.g. if you drive into a tree then damage to your car would not be covered (but the tree would !) - Also these types of cover are packaged so benefits cannot be changed but all include a Bail Bond.

Tip : the difference in cost between 2+1 and 3+1 is only a few hundred Baht so 2+1 is a better choice for value.

That's sounds expensive to me. I am paying 10000/year for a first class policy on a 3 years old Honda Jazz.
