NOC
You want first class insurance for one simple reason. If you hit someone and they die, your white butt is going to jail until it gets sorted. First class insurance provides you bail money so you don't sit in jail. Your other option is having 200,000 in cash available to get out of jail. Choose wisely!

Bail has nothing to do with first class insurance.First class covers damage to own car, only available for newish cars. Op needs a good 3rd party insurance. So, is there a third party policy that has a bail clause for an older car?

jay1980
You won't be able to get first class insurance for a 13 year old car. The best I could get for my 10 year old car was second class + This covers all costs to 3rd party's and up to 100,000 lose from damage or theft to my car. I got it from Thai life. If you are in Pattaya the office is here https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/thai+life+insurance+pattaya/@12.948946,100.905816,3a,75y,115.57h,88.42t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s5OiWjXHNYn7DK2TbVkCb8Q!2e0!6m1!1e1 I found them very profesional and helpful. The cost was 8,000 baht for the year. Hope that helps
AAInsuranceBrokers
For the 'older' car then 2+1 and 3+1 is available usually to 20 years. The main difference between the '+1' and 1st Class cover is you need to be in an accident with another vehicle in order to be covered for damages to your car e.g. if you drive into a tree then damage to your car would not be covered (but the tree would !) - Also these types of cover are packaged so benefits cannot be changed but all include a Bail Bond. Tip : the difference in cost between 2+1 and 3+1 is only a few hundred Baht so 2+1 is a better choice for value. AA Insurance Brokers
