jacko45k
At first glance I was surprised to see a 'lady' involved in a necklace snatch. Then I read the first line and was no longer surprised.
bangon04
"Police witnessed a necklace snatch from an Indian Tourist take place on Pattaya Beach and were then able to arrest a Ladyboy suspected of being involved." not the same as "Police prevent Indian Necklace Snatch on Pattaya Beach" They didn't actually "prevent" it. "What the Ladyboy’s failed to notice was a group of Police Officers on the Beach promenade watching events unfold." In fact the crime took place in front of their eyes . At least they solved it, so chalk one up to them. Pity the Ladyboy was so confident that she didn't even bother to look around to see if the police were watching..... peterjackson
They probably noticed the Police but based on their knowledge of non action, just decided to ignore them and carry out the robbery anyway. Even i'm shocked the Police did anything.

Basil B
I have no problem with police allowing a crime to happen if it is the only way to prove the intentions of the villains as long as: They are able to apprehend the suspects. Police funds are used to compensate for any damage or loss, hopefully the police/courts will where possible get any monies paid out back from the villains. Wish Thailand had a law that would allow for persistent offenders to be sent back to their villages and exclude them from the likes of Pattaya. Ling Kae
For once the Thai coppers did a good job, praise where it is due. Now lets hope the LB gets some real jail time and not just a token fine.
