Kids Bike Helmets in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can buy a good kids helmet in Bangkok for my 6 year old daughter, preferably full face.

cheers

Stop off at a car dealer and buy a car instead.

Your daughter might get to see her teenage years this way. thumbsup.gif

Decent helmets can be found from most of the bigger bikeshops.

Obviously you don't, what about the Thais around you?

"driving the bike is a necessity due to traffic"

Putting a young child on a bike in Thai roads is never a necessity.

Leave earlier in your car and use the journey time educating/parenting her.

Improve your parenting, for your daughter's sake.

Here we go again.

Pointless post is pointless

It's not pointless if you knew what happened the last time someone asked this question. Pages upon pages of know it alls.

So I'll help you out. Any shop specialising in helmets should have something for kids. The only fullface helmet for kids that I have see are made by Index. I got one for my friends daughter and by all accounts she loves it. If you can't find a shop, go to their website and order one.

You can also get cycling helmets for kids. Sure they're not full face, but it's easier to get a good fit. Better a cycle helmet that fits and stays on rather than a mc helmet that comes off or moves back on the head in a spill, full face or not.

I sometimes take my daughter (bit older than yours) to school on the scooter. She wears a cycling helmet. It's literally 3 mins by scooter. Sure we can walk it in 10, but frankly it is more dangerous trying to cross the road in front of the school on foot than it is riding a scooter that distance.

However I will not take her any longer distance on a scooter than that. I also flat out will not let her cycle to school.
