BANGKOK: -- THE DEPARTMENT of Special Investigations (DSI) yesterday denied cancelling the arrest warrant for sedition charges against Chitpas Tant Kridakon, a former core member of the People's Democratic Reform Committee and now a police force applicant.

Pol Major Woranant Srilam, director of DSI's special-case management centre, said she was charged over political rallies and that the agency had accepted the case as a special one on December 17, 2013.

Public prosecutors decided to indict her in May last year, and DSI applied to the court for an arrest warrant. Chitpas later turned herself in and was released on bail.

"Since she surrendered, the arrest warrant is no longer in effect as per Article 68 of the criminal code," he clarified.

National police chief General Somyot Poompanmuang said yesterday that he had been told that Chitpas turned up for a physical exam and had not withdrawn her application to become an officer under the Patrol and Special Operation Division 191.

He said Chitpas was qualified to apply as a police officer because people fighting lawsuits are considered innocent until the court decides otherwise.

Metropolitan Police Bureau assistant spokesman Pol Colonel Akarak Limsangkat said the bureau would consider aspects such as knowledge, personality, health and qualifications when deciding whether to accept her application.

He said she had passed the first test and undergone a physical check-up on Monday. If she passes the physical test, then a panel would be set up to check her qualifications.

According to directives, qualified candidates must have strong morals, integrity, accept democracy and not create divisions on the national front, he said.

He added that the selection panel would be neutral when considering her application. "The decision must be in line with the public and the police's needs. Public sentiment will have an impact on the selection panel," he said.

Chitpas's application for the 191 post drew protests from a group of police officers believed to have ties with the red shirts.

"According to directives, qualified candidates must have strong morals, integrity, accept democracy and not create divisions on the national front, he said."

If that's one of the actual requirements, they should all be sacked immediately as none of them pass.

"According to directives, qualified candidates must have strong morel's, integrity, accept democracy, and not create divisions on the national front."

Talk about a FAIL ON EVERY LEVEL...

Really, lets take a look at her "strong morels" There are photo's of her floating around in cyber space that some people could say refute this point.

Now what's next? Ahh yes,, integrity, threats of driving a bulldozer through protesters and barricades, and threatening to spray people with sewerage.

Now there integrity for ya, dirty stupid buffalo's should not protest, don't they know who I am??

Next is accept democracy, Yu'p sorry people but if she accepted democracy then she would be in support of it's (democracy's) rules and that is when a government is dissolved then it is required by law to have elections within 60 day's but what was she advocating? and it wasn't democracy.

Ok now then last but not least, "Not create divisions on the national front" Now that's a tuffy huh, The public comments up on stage, the divisions were so bad that her daddy told her to change her name as the stuff she was saying was so bad it was hurting the family business and reputation, then there's her opinion about who should be allowed to vote and the value of her vote and others like her counts as ten votes while others vote counts as one vote, Naahhh no creating division there huh? and well now that other little chest nut, half the BIB are protesting her appointment and many civilians are protesting her appointment.

So it seems it's a massive fail on all forms of requirements, but this is Thailand and those that want her in will have their way regardless of them pesky rules.

Correct, we don't need those kind of people in the police there are enough crooks there already. Why make the divide even bigger. She is not a good candidate. I am against the Shins but also against extremes on the side that I prefer like her and Suthep.

this Government is only following the law....as long as it favors the 'good people' .otherwise it can choose to dismiss charges against their friends, and appeal for harsher sentances for old convictions against any and all who disagree. A rule of law that favors the select few.

BANGKOK: -- Former yellow-shirt activist Jitpat Kridakorn, or known as "Tunt", declared to give up her application for a police job in the Patrol 191 unit of the Metropolitan Police Bureau to end the ongoing outcry by some police who questioned her qualifications as she is still a criminal suspect.

Declaring her decision at a press conference today, tearful Jitpat said she applied for the police job with intent to use her knowledge to help after learning that the Metropolitan Police Bureau lacks personnel in certain field.

She said she followed every step of the application in accordance with police procedure.

She said she never has a thought to look down upon the police but merely to seek justice.

As her application has turned into a possible conflict in the country, she said she would give up her attempt for the job to end the problem, and would like to see unity and love among the Thai people, she said in tearful eyes.

She has passed the written and oral examination required and became the only candidate for the deputy police inspector position in the Patrol 191 unit.

Chitpas drops her application to work for the police

BANGKOK: -- Chitpas Kridakorn, a former key member of the nowdefunct People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), has decided not to "move forward" with her application for a position in the Police Patrol and Special Operations Division, aka 191.

Speaking at a news briefing at the Dusit Thani Hotel today, Chitpas said she had decided not to apply in case her messages would be deemed controversial to society, especially to police officers of all ranks.

Her application could also have caused problems within the police and other segments of society.

Chitpas also explained some of controversial accusations levied against her, for example, her earlier participation in a political rally. She pointed out that the movement was joined by many parties with different viewpoints, adding that she never intended to disparage police officers and was only expressing a desire to see a truly reliable police force working for the people.

She also questioned the legitimacy of a photo that appeared to be showing her trying to break through a police line in front of the police headquarters, saying that it had been doctored.

She added that her interview in English during a PDRC rally shared on social media had been distorted and was not true.

Chitpas insisted that she would continue to work for the people as an assistant to the committee of People's Democratic Reform Foundation (PDRF) but said she had no plans to enter politics.

Pol General Ekarak Limsangkas, deputy Metropolitan Police spokesman, said that the police have not yet to received any contact from Chitpas regarding the matter. It is also not known of when she would approach the police .

Good, she doesn't deserve the job. But why does she need to hold a news conference to do this. Maybe to let all of Thailand see this poor girl in tears lose an opportunity of a lifetime for her and have people feel sorry for her. Well I don't.

Maybe the Red Bull Heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya may want to apply for the job now.

She gave up too easy.

Maybe could have passed the entrance exams, but she still has the physical exams, marksmanship...and bribery courses to pass.

I just like that her nickname is "Tunt".

I'm falling in love with her now.

"Tunt"......Too cool, though her last name reminds me of the morning after I've gorged on somtam.

I've heard those bribery courses are tough.

In one of the articles aboveit's written that she was the only candidate. Which probably means that the job offer had not been made public. A fair process in which only one candidate is considered! Ah! Ah!

Ahh the lady that said that the countryside people are too stupid and uneducated to vote. I don't buy that it was lost in translation either. She graduated from England and speaks with a British accent.

A spoiled little brat that doesn't have a clue about the real world outside of her rich little bubble.

How come the sycophants haven't been in here defending her yet?
