Looking to replace my Rangers rubber. Still on the original Bridgestones but they are ready to go. 4 years they have lasted and have been happy with them in all conditions.

What price are new ones ?

Or recommended alternatives ?

I changed my old Rangers Bridgestones to Michelins and they made a huge difference to the handling. I'm not going to wait so long to change over to them on my new Ranger. I had 18" alloys and paid 46k for all 4 wheels. Most places also offer IFC if you pay with a credit card.

I like Dunlop & bought them on Lazada at 40% discount from the local dealer! & Free delivery in 2 days! The dealer installed and balance for 200 THB!

Michelin Latitude Cross looks pretty good..

Not sure if I need to change brand though as the Bridgestones lasted 4 years and 110,000km !

Yes. The Bridgestones will still look good after 4 years (mine certainly did), but they are poor tyres offering limited grip. But, I guess all the local manufacturers get them for peanuts hence they're pre-installed on pretty much every truck.

It's nice having 4 matching wheels/tyres again. After I got the PU back mid week with 3 original wheel/tyres and the steel spare on one corner I was hot to get a full set!

I was in Phi Chit Saturday on other business and driving past a tyre shop I spotted some wheels I was looking for. I did a U turn and drove in. They were second hand but there is not one trace of black on the back side from brake dust! The faces were unmarked. The tyres were roaded Michelins, I don't think the combo had even seen 500km! So I grabbed them. But they didn't look quite as good after the trip home.

And while getting a wheel alignment it was discovered the repair guy had put the wrong tie rod ends which was causing some knocking in L4/H4 but not H2. That got fixed as well! Now all I need to do is figure out why it's spewing so much unburnt diesel???

I worry about anything for sale online that states "no warranty". Even these 2,800 Baht 'Greymax' have a 2 year warranty http://www.lazada.co.th/gremax-24570-r16-max-at-812333.html

Just got 4 Dueller HT on our Ranger, 5,200 a pop at Auto Quiks.

Not the cheapest, but local and not busy on a Saturday AM, got a battery and a tin of injector cleaner too (I didn't need the cleaner but it took us over the 25k to get 1000 Baht of fuel vouchers).

BSJ what's the deal with the hard hats ?

I guess there has been a safety alert issued regarding dropped objects in the tyre business.

Or the safety lock on the ramp is a dodgy.

How do you tell what year a tyre was produced ? Been looking on mine for some sort of date stamp !!

There will be a 4 digit number on the tyre.

eg. 1315 means the 13th week of 2015

Sometimes tyres are on discount so you need to check the dates. These tires will often be a couple of years old. That's not really a problem as they perform fine on the road, until you try to trade them in, because they look at the date stamp to see how old the tyres are. If you buy ned, they should be less than 6 months old; the younger the better.

I bought a complete set of Dunlop Grandtrek tires for my old pickup. Less than a month later, I picked up a nail in one of them, yes I know, not the tires fault. Before I realized that a tire was low, it was ruined. It was not run flat. The sidewall had the cords broke loose inside the tire. No more Dunlops for me. The OEM tires were Bridgestone and ran 90,000 kilometers before I changed them. They still had good tread but got hard and slippery on wet roads.

What breed of Michelin's did you get?

New set of Michelin Latitude Cross at 5.5k a pop... We'll see how these compare to the original Duellers ?

Looks like you got a good deal I fitted 4 to my PS 5 years ago and they cost me 28k. Never had any issues to date

265 x 65 x 17

I had Lattatude Cross on two pickups and they were great.

Recently replaced both sets with Firestone Destination LE2 for much less money, and they seem great so far.

One set was 245/70R16 (15,000) and the other was 265/65R17 (18,200)

Both sets mounted, N2 filled, balanced & front-end alignment.

You'll love them, I did.

Got over 80,000Km from them

Hard to say, but Latitude somethingorother sounds about right.

I guess they bought their silly Australia OH&S rules with them when they set up shop! They do good work so I would recommend them in Phi Chit or Phitsanulok.
