Seems like this is becoming a daily event. While China has cracked down harder than before on its citizens that are repatriated from Thailand, the reality is that their focus is very selective. They seem to move fast when Chinese citizens are the victims, yet many scam hubs simply shift tactics or relocate because the underlying networks in Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia remain untouched. Thailand keeps getting used as a transit point or temporary base because the borders are relatively easy to enter and the country is seen as a “safe” place to lie low.
