Madonna announces second Bangkok show as part of world tour

BANGKOK (AP) — Madonna has added a second show in Bangkok for her "Rebel Heart" world tour after the first concert sold out in under an hour, organizers said Wednesday.

Thai media had hyped Madonna's first-ever show in the Thai capital as a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" that would "make history" in Thailand.

Tickets for the Feb. 9 show went on sale Saturday and sold out within an hour, according to Thai promoter BEC-Tero, which on Wednesday announced a second show for Feb. 10 at the 15,000-seat Impact Arena.

Madonna's world tour comes to Asia in February, with shows in Taipei, followed by Bangkok, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macau, Manila, Auckland and several stops in Australia.

Tickets in Bangkok range from 2,000 baht to 16,000 baht, or $55 to $450, as well as pricier VIP packages that include access to pre-show parties.

When an aging artist comes to Bkk, that means that they're scraping the bottom of the barrel

as far as getting enough bums to fill seats elsewhere in the US or Europe...

Added a second show?

Now that is sheer spite - rubbing salt in the wound!

Just when we thought things couldn't get worse.... "I'm a rebel, like everybody else....."

when do the tickets go on sale and how do you get a few?

do you think she would sing like a virgin in bkk? Wouldn't she get a bunch of blank stares here?

Madonna Darling, you're nearly 60 years old. Sit back with some coke and cookies and watch "Spinal Tap" instead.

Poor reviews for the Canadian shows because she is not singing many of her hits...too much new stuff apparently

I beg to differ, for someone her age, to dance and sing (I dont think shes much of a singer anyways, Adele and the likes sing way much better) but I must give it to her that she can dance extremely well and with such stamina for 2.5 hrs on stage. She put many younger performers to shame with her showmanship but I reckon it will be highly censored here in Asia,

I was at her concert in Madison Garden in NYC last month.

Madonna looks great for 50.odd

She has the body of a man half her age..................................coffee1.gif

Is she perhaps a trans-sexual? Halfway maybe in the FTM process?

May I be allowed to wonder why anyone would pay ฿10 to see "someone her age" walk and talk at the same time on a stage?

No ticket for me. I left elderly farang slappers behind when I left England.

Well she is about 12 years older then my wife and I guess my wife looks better

or even sing better tongue.png

Every woman has the innate belief that they are sexually attractive, no matter how ugly they may be but most tend to go into old age with some form of dignity, not Madonna, she wont go quietly into the dark night, admirable in a way but not worth paying to watch.
